Hello! My name is Jo Temple, child and teen photographer, and owner of Frank & Bloom. Dedicated to girls being themselves, Frank & Bloom is a unique Surrey, Hampshire & Berkshire based child photography experience for girls aged 4-18.
My aim is to provide a relaxed photography service for girls of all types, enabling them to connect their personality with their visual identity by producing natural, unguarded and stunning images of who they truly are. Whatever their character, the girls will recognise that their identity isn’t about surface beauty, it’s so much more.
About Me
Photography has been a passion of mine since I was 10 and quickly became my source of artistic outlet. I am a member of the Guild of Professional Photographers and have won awards for my child photography images. In an abstract way, Frank & Bloom is a manifestation of my mum’s and gran’s guiding philosophies. If a girl can experience a sense of liberation by others celebrating and encouraging her to simply be herself, then I sincerely hope that Frank & Bloom can play some measurable part in that.
Locations
Photoshoots take place outside on location throughout Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. Anywhere natural, authentic, beautiful – Overgrown fields, wild flowers, bluebells, lakes, lavender fields, stately homes, old buildings, a funky urban street, graffiti skate parks, beautiful woodland, fields of gold, the beach or rustic farm buildings.
Photoshoots ideally take place around sunset and sunrise as this is when the best and most amazing light occurs.
A Commitment To Excellence
I take on no more than 2 photoshoot experiences a month, so I get to spend the time I need with each client. Every image you receive is hand edited, no batch editing here. Every image I edit for you must have the wow factor. I imagine every image, blown up, on your wall and it must have impact. I edit for quality and take as much time as it needs to get the very best result from each shot.
Why Frank & Bloom?
The Name
The name Frank & Bloom means ‘You are the most captivating when you are just yourself’. I firmly believe that girls should feel free to express their personality, quirks, talents or interests.
Whatever a girl’s character, Frank & Bloom’s objective is to enable her to feel comfortable enough in front of the camera to bloom.
Ethos
My approach to child photography is to capture their essence, giving them a photograph that screams “This is me”. With my passion for natural child photography and dedicated to girls being themselves, Frank & Bloom candidly focuses on a girl’s personality in a relaxed environment where she can be herself.
